Grades 9-12: Recognizing National Mathematics Awareness Month
The theme of National Mathematics Awareness Month, 2014 is Mathematics, Magic and Mystery. Each day in April, the American Mathematical Society (AMS) will reveal a short video introducing a theme-related activity, along with materials to support instruction at varying levels. Grades 6-8: Exploring Pi
Engage students with this hands-on activity that leads them to understand the formula for the area of a circle. Pi Day, 3/14, is considered a national holiday to most math instructors.
