Job Summary
The Education Sales Consultant is responsible for generating sales revenue, in an exclusive, multi-state sales territory, by making product presentations primarily to educators in the K-12 market through a combination of onsite and web-based meetings. The ideal candidate will live in or around the Twin Cities Metro area. The position requires a consultative sales approach to introduce product solutions to the education market. Compensation is comprised of base salary plus uncapped commission. Base Range is between $55k-65K depending on experience with first year targeted earnings between $80K-$100k.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The primary duties involve making sales, soliciting sales, and performing duties incidental to sales.
- Follow an approved consultative sales process such as Professional Selling Skills (PSS) to complete an average of 6 sales presentations per week via scheduled self-booked phone appointments (virtual demos) and onsite meetings.
- Dedicates appropriate time to prospecting, presenting, and following up in order to create new customers and meet established demo and sales quota.
- Follows up with prospects on a timely basis via email, telephone, and web conferencing tools to convert leads to product presentations and closed sales.
- Plans weekly itineraries and schedules meetings for product presentations in order to meet company activity level expectations.
- Prepares accurate and timely customized quotes to prospective customers in the assigned territory.
- Generates additional sales by strategically targeting other prospective customers and soliciting referral business to meet or exceed sales quotas.
- Maintains strong, ongoing relationships with existing customers in order to enhance the customer experience and secure future sales and referrals.
- Collaborates regularly with management and peers, both in Direct Sales and other departments, to contribute ideas for strategizing and executing sales opportunities and identify areas for improvement.
- Recommends and plans for attendance at conferences/trade shows, and customer visits, in order to establish relationships with new and existing customers. Keeps within budgetary constraints. May be asked to work occasional trade shows on weekends.
- Overnight travel within the territory may be required. Up to 2 nights a month
- Provides regular sales forecasting as required by management.
- Follows established processes and procedures for gaining leads, presenting solutions, quoting, documenting completed product presentations, placing orders, closing out won and lost opportunities.
Sales Stewardship
- Responsible for managing sales focused initiative projects
- Along with the sales manager take part in other Divisions projects as the voice of sales
- Fluent in all Sales Tools to include Salesforce
- Attend National and State Trade Shows when called upon

Education/Experience
- Requires post-secondary education in business, marketing, education or related field, plus previous consultative B2B sales experience. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Current or previous educators with consultative B2B sales experience strongly desired.
- Previous successful consultative sales experience, especially in the education market.
- Strong follow-up skills.
Language Ability:
Intermediate skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and training manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Ability:
Basic skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
High skills – Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Ability:
Requires intermediate MS Office skills (word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation applications); familiarity with using contact management systems (Salesforce.com) highly preferred; ability to learn and effectively use web meeting software; ability to efficiently navigate the internet is required.

Product Manager

As a Product Manager, you will manage the development and execution for the assigned product lines — including hardware, software, and SaaS platforms — from concept through launch and ongoing optimization. You’ll serve as the bridge between business strategy, customer needs, and technical execution, ensuring our products deliver meaningful value and contribute to company growth.
This role requires curiosity, strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to translate complex technical details into clear user and business benefits. You will work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, engineering, and operations to manage both physical and digital products that support our mission to enhance learning in K–12 education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Planning
- Manage assigned product lines — hardware, software, or SaaS — to achieve revenue, margin, and adoption goals.
- Conduct market and user research to identify customer needs, market trends, and opportunities for innovation.
- Translate business goals and customer insights into clear product requirements and user stories.
- Define success metrics (KPIs and OKRs) and track product performance to guide continuous improvement.
Software / SaaS Product Management
- Partner with internal and external technical teams to define specifications, prioritize development and ensure timely delivery of features, updates, and platform enhancements.
- Participate in sprint planning and review cycles, providing feedback and clarifying requirements.
- Balance user experience, business priorities, and technical feasibility when making product decisions.
- Support product testing, quality, and release readiness for web and cloud-based platforms.
- Work with cross-functional teams to plan and execute go-to-market activities for new digital features or releases.
- Monitor platform adoption, usage analytics, and user feedback to inform ongoing product improvements.
- Guide products through key milestones such as MVP, beta testing, and scaled rollout.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution

- Experience managing or supporting SaaS/digital products in addition to hardware strongly preferred.
- Experience in the education, technology, or related markets is a plus.
Technical & Computer Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data analysis tools.
- Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Figma, etc.) and CRM systems preferred.
- Understanding of software development processes and SaaS delivery models a plus.
- Familiarity with video production or digital content creation is desirable.
Language Ability
- Ability to write and present reports, product documentation, and marketing materials effectively.
- Comfortable presenting to internal stakeholders and external customers.
