Job Summary: As a Product Manager, you will manage the development and execution of marketing activities for our product lines to achieve sales and profit objectives. You will conduct voice of customer research, gather market intelligence, perform competitive analyses, and recommend product or process improvements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Propose new products and line extensions aligned with corporate strategies.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging to differentiate our products.

Product Marketing Specialist

Job Summary: The Product Marketing Specialist will support the existing VariQuest product line and assist with product development efforts. Reporting to the Director of Business & Product Development, you will manage customer training programs through live webinars and product training videos. You will also engage in voice of customer research, gather market intelligence, perform competitive analysis, and recommend product or process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain product lines, ensuring quality, offering, pricing, and positioning align with customer needs and drive revenue growth.
  • Assist with new product development by gathering and synthesizing voice of customer findings into market requirements.
  • Develop and maintain sales enablement tools such as flyers and competitive analysis documents.
  • Gather market data and funding intelligence, suggesting opportunities to sales channels.
  • Assist with product launch plans, including pricing, promotions, training, and sales tools.
  • Conduct live customer training webinars regularly and collaborate with the sales department on one-off webinars.
  • Assist in script-writing, storyboarding, production, and distribution of product training and promotional videos.
  • Produce training materials such as user guides, videos, tip sheets, and FAQs.
  • Travel to customer and dealer partner sites and attend industry events.

Marketing Specialist

Job Summary:

The Marketing Specialist role will be responsible for overseeing marketing communication activities including but not limited to social media, trade shows, brand advocacy, video media, internal document management, marketing collateral management, and customer communications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned.

  • Plans, manages, and writes content for social media outlets
  • Coordinates and assists with marketing events (trade shows, webinars, etc.) – managing timelines, venues, vendors, staffing, and budgets.
  • Assists with the implementation of marketing and sales collateral, promotional and advertising campaigns, coordinating requests from sales as needed.
  • Amplifies voices of our target customers and audiences in brand advocacy – conducting research, surveys, & interviews to present findings

Education Sales Consultant

Job Summary

The Education Sales Consultant is responsible for generating sales revenue, in an exclusive, multi-state sales territory, by making product presentations primarily to educators in the K-12 market through a combination of onsite and web-based meetings. The ideal candidate will live in or around the Twin Cities Metro area. The position requires a consultative sales approach to introduce product solutions to the education market. Compensation is comprised of base salary plus uncapped commission. Base Range is between $55k-65K depending on experience with first year targeted earnings between $80K-$100k. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The primary duties involve making sales, soliciting sales, and performing duties incidental to sales.
  • Follow an approved consultative sales process such as Professional Selling Skills (PSS) to complete an average of 6 sales presentations per week via scheduled self-booked phone appointments (virtual demos) and onsite meetings.
  • Dedicates appropriate time to prospecting, presenting, and following up in order to create new customers and meet established demo and sales quota.
  • Follows up with prospects on a timely basis via email, telephone, and web conferencing tools to convert leads to product presentations and closed sales.
  • Plans weekly itineraries and schedules meetings for product presentations in order to meet company activity level expectations.
  • Prepares accurate and timely customized quotes to prospective customers in the assigned territory.
  • Generates additional sales by strategically targeting other prospective customers and soliciting referral business to meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Maintains strong, ongoing relationships with existing customers in order to enhance the customer experience and secure future sales and referrals.
  • Collaborates regularly with management and peers, both in Direct Sales and other departments, to contribute ideas for strategizing and executing sales opportunities and identify areas for improvement.
  • Recommends and plans for attendance at conferences/trade shows, and customer visits, in order to establish relationships with new and existing customers. Keeps within budgetary constraints. May be asked to work occasional trade shows on weekends.
    • Overnight travel within the territory may be required. Up to 2 nights a month
    • Provides regular sales forecasting as required by management.
    • Follows established processes and procedures for gaining leads, presenting solutions, quoting, documenting completed product presentations, placing orders, closing out won and lost opportunities.

Sales Stewardship

  • Responsible for managing sales focused initiative projects
  • Along with the sales manager take part in other Divisions projects as the voice of sales
  • Fluent in all Sales Tools to include Salesforce
  • Attend National and State Trade Shows when called upon

Education/Experience

  • Requires post-secondary education in business, marketing, education or related field, plus previous consultative B2B sales experience. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Current or previous educators with consultative B2B sales experience strongly desired.
  • Previous successful consultative sales experience, especially in the education market.
  • Strong follow-up skills.

Language Ability:

Intermediate skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and training manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Ability:


Basic skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.

Computer Ability:
