Building Character Through Student Recognition
With so many schools focusing on character education and/or Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), we wanted to highlight how one of our Super Schools, Frank W. Reilly Elementary in Chicago, is using their Awards Maker to support their citizen/character initiatives.

Grades 6-8: Exploring Pi
Engage students with this hands-on activity that leads them to understand the formula for the area of a circle. Pi Day, 3/14, is considered a national holiday to most math instructors. To commemorate this day, or to help incorporate a tactile learning experience in which students understand the formulas for the area and circumference of a circle, use the following paper folding activity.

PDF-To-Poster: A New VariQuest Software Feature
A top request from educators was an easy way to turn their PDF files into posters—our answer was “PDF-to-Poster!” This feature for the Poster Maker and Perfecta™ 2400 enables quick and easy printing of PDF files by automatically scaling the file to selected output size. You can even upload multiple paged PDF files and simply choose which page, or all pages, to print! As easy as 1 (browsing for PDF in Design Center Software using MyPDF icon), 2 (selecting size), 3 (selecting print). Check out this quick video highlighting how easy it is to print a PDF in seconds!
