When the season of fall arrives, you're celebrating being done with the first few weeks of the school year, and outside the colors of the environment are changing. What better way to celebrate the new season and fall holidays - than with coloring inside the classroom as well?

We've put together some fun classroom activities for the fall season and holidays, to be used as class or group discussions, hallway displays, or just as coloring pages for bell-ringers or brain breaks. Download them free and put them in your calming corner or use them in your lessons - the possibilities are endless!

Are you celebrating Halloween in your classroom? Is the anticipation of the day exciting for your students? Provide them with a color-a-day activity to be used on single sheets at their desks for a bell-ringer activity, or create a poster-sized model (print on the Perfecta® Series Poster Design System!) where you draw names to have one student come up and color one item each day as you count down to the holiday. Each image is spooky (but not too spooky!) to get students in the mood for a little fun!

I'm Thankful For...

thankful for coloring sheet thumbA Federal Holiday in the United States, Thanksgiving was suggested by Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War as a day to heal the wounds of the nation by giving thanks for the blessings in our lives through peace and unity. As many families sit down to a Thanksgiving table on this holiday to share a meal and practice gratitude, encourage students to draw, write, and color things they are thankful for on this Thanksgiving placemat. You could then display these in your classroom, or laminate them (using the VariQuest Cold Laminator 2510!) to send home with students for use at their own family tables.

Need an easy brain-break coloring activity? Have students color in these fall leaves, acorns, and remind them to give thanks - for family, for friends, and for learning at school - with this simple fall-festive coloring sheet. You could also send these home with students over the Thanksgiving break for a fun little addition in take-home folders for when they spend a couple days out of the classroom.
