How to Promote Student Engagement with the Common Core Toolkit

What do 43 states, the District of Columbia, 4 territories, and the Department of Defense Education Activity share at their educative core?

An adopted initiative with the goal of ensuring that all students graduate from high school with the proper skill set and knowledge to succeed in college and their career—the Common Core State Standards.

The ubiquity of the standards is obvious, but the clarity? Not so much. That's why VariQuest™ has partnered with The Curriculum Corner to provide a clear understanding of the state standards in a visually pleasing manner for both students and educators.

Introducing The Common Core Toolkit
The Common Core Toolkit is a system for displaying and tracking standards students have learned in the classroom. The toolkit, in the form of a downloadable ebook, includes 388 printable posters that visually display the K-8 standards as “I Can” statements. Developed by the educators of The Curriculum Corner, the “I Can” statements are the Common Core Standards rewritten in “kid-friendly” terms, allowing students to better understand what’s being taught in the classroom.
