Between tight budgets and growing needs, finding the right funding resources for your school can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. Whether you’re looking to enhance your visual learning environment, build creative displays for your hallways, or bring innovative tools like the VariQuest® Visual and Kinesthetic Learning Suite into your community, there are a variety of grant options available to help.

Trying to figure out how to fund your next classroom or schoolwide project?

We Are Teachers recently published an article, Grant Money for Schools: 50+ Best Programs in 2025–26, outlining this year’s top grant opportunities for educators across the country. These programs provide funding for classroom materials, technology, and school improvement projects. Take a look at some of the featured grants and see how your school can make the most of these funding opportunities!

1. DonorsChoose

If you’ve ever wanted to bring new tools or resources into your school, DonorsChoose might be your best starting point. This popular platform allows teachers to create project pages describing what they need and why. Community members, businesses, and even large corporations can fund your project directly.

Highlighting how your students could use the Perfecta® Q36 Poster Design System and Motiva® Specialty Printer to create classroom visuals, school-wide displays, and develop communication skills is an effective way to demonstrate your ideas. Donors appreciate seeing the real, tangible impact of their support, and with the VariQuest tools, the results can truly speak for themselves.

2. Voya Unsung Heroes

Voya Financial’s Unsung Heroes Grant Program awards up to $25,000 each year to educators with innovative teaching methods or creative educational projects. VariQuest supports educators in engaging every student through easy-to-use visual and kinesthetic learning tools paired with cutting-edge content, making innovative teaching a natural fit.

For example, the Cutout Maker Digital Die-Cut Machine helps teachers save valuable prep time while creating hands-on learning materials for students and exciting new ways to display educational content.

3. Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation

For schools focusing on inclusion and accessibility, the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation provides grants up to $100,000 annually. These grants support innovative projects that help students with disabilities gain leadership and employment skills.

When thinking about helping students gain these important life skills, VariQuest fits well into this category as our tools allow learning to be more accessible with visual aids, tactile materials, communication boards, and so much more. Plus, our Engage Every Learner® Content includes ready-to-use templates made especially for Special Education, making it easy for teachers to meet every learner where they are and truly guide those growing independence and leadership.

Additional Funding Resources

The VariQuest Learning Suite aligns with a wide range of federal and state grant opportunities, and we are committed to helping you make the most of today’s funding options. Schools across the country are already using VariQuest tools to transform classrooms and hallways, empowering educators to design, print, cut, and laminate materials that support every learner and enhance the overall school environment. While we’ve highlighted just a few examples from the We Are Teachers article, VariQuest has compiled our own list of funding options including Title Funds, PTO Funds, Literacy & STEM Grants, and more. Here are some useful ways to use these additional funding resources:

1. Parent-Teacher Organizations

Parent-Teacher Organizations (PTOs) play an important role in supporting school initiatives through fundraising and community involvement. Using PTO funds to invest in the VariQuest® Cutout Maker is a powerful way to give back to students, staff, and families. This time-saving tool allows schools to create colorful bulletin boards, hallway displays, event decorations, hands-on learning materials, and other engaging resources. By using PTO funds for the Cutout Maker, schools can enhance communication, celebrate student achievements, and create a vibrant, connected learning environment that benefits the entire community.

2. Title I Funding

Title I provides funding to support academic achievement, specifically helping low-income students meet performance standards. With the Perfecta® Series Printer, schools can bring these goals to life by displaying reading and math standards in every classroom, posting grading expectations, and creating enlarged graphic organizers and learning visuals that help empower all students to stay engaged and on track for success.

3. Individuals with Disabilities Education Act

Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) funding helps schools provide equitable, accessible education for students with disabilities. Investing in the VariQuest Learning Suite supports this mission by enabling educators to create differentiated learning materials like visual aids, sensory paths, and tactile learning tools that make lessons more engaging and inclusive. And, similar to the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation, the Engage Every Learner® Content allows teachers to quickly access pre-made special education templates that help students build communication skills, social-emotional skills, independent living skills, and more.
