Never Forget Your Classroom Schedule Again!

With the busy day-to-day life of a teacher, it can be easy to lose track of what time it is or what class you have coming up next. Along with this, the never-ending changes within a school to meet state requirements and attempts to find the best school system for kiddos to reach full potential can end up feeling like there are always new schedules to follow and no straightforward way to keep it all together.

After viewing a post on TikTok (@mrslarsenslittles) which showed the effectiveness of shrinking down your daily schedule and attaching it to a lanyard, we decided this would be a perfect way to use our VariQuest® Motiva® 400 Specialty Printing System and could allow for a simple teacher hack to be made!

Finding quick and easy tools to help stay organized throughout the day is essential when jumping into a new school year and with the help of this DIY Classroom Schedule Lanyard, the fear of forgetting which period it is, or the exact time your kids will be coming back from lunch and recess can be lessened. By simply looking down at your lanyard, you will always have a helping hand in moments of uncertainty.

Considering most teachers wear lanyards daily for things such as building access and printer copy abilities, adding one more little “charm” to it with a VariQuest® Motiva® 400 Specialty Printing System sticker can become a super easy and effective way to stay organized and prepared as you jump into new routines and schedules at the start of the school year. In order to create this simple teacher hack, there are just a few steps you will need to follow when using the VariQuest® Motiva® 400 Specialty Printing System:

  1. Create your Daily Schedule on your computer and save as a PDF.
  2. Connect a flash drive to your computer and upload Daily Schedule PDF
  3. Connect flash drive to the Design Center 2300
  4. On main screen, select Motiva and then My PDFs
  5. Find your Daily Schedule PDF and select it
  6. Confirm the sticker type you will be using and select print
  7. Make lanyard tag sturdier and more unique by adding colored construction paper to put on back of sticker (laminate if preferred)
  8. Connect to lanyard and you’re done!

Kick off the new school year by feeling organized and ready to take on the classroom!
